Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked BelgianKangoeroes (9-2) defeated 9th ranked Dutch Groningen (6-6) in Mechelen 93-84 on Saturday. The winners were led by Swedish forward Zaba Bangala (201-2001) who scored that evening 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 17 points. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 5 assists by American guard Austin Luke (191-1994, college: Belmont) did not help to save the game for Groningen . Danish forward Dane Erikstrup (208-2003, college: WSU) added 17 points and 8 rebounds. Mechelen moved-up to third place. Groningen lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Limburg.
